1. Introduction

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website and services provided by 3D Specialist (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a 3D printing and CNC machining service based in Singapore. By accessing our website, requesting a quote, placing an order, or otherwise using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Our Services

3D Specialist provides additive manufacturing (3D printing), CNC machining, design consultation, and related prototyping and production services. Services may be requested through our website, email, WhatsApp, or in person at our facility. The specific scope, materials, quantities, and pricing for any project will be confirmed in a written quotation before work begins.

3. Quotes, Orders & Acceptance

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date issued, unless otherwise stated.
  • An order is only confirmed once you accept a quotation in writing (email or signed confirmation) and, where required, submit payment or deposit.
  • We reserve the right to decline any order, including where a design is technically unfeasible, involves prohibited content, or falls outside our operational capacity.
  • Pricing is based on the file, materials, and specifications provided at the time of quoting. Changes to design files, quantities, or materials after confirmation may result in a revised quote and adjusted lead time.

File Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring that any files submitted for printing or machining (e.g. STL, STEP) are accurate, print-ready, and free of design flaws such as non-manifold geometry. While our team may flag obvious issues, we are not obligated to verify the design intent, structural integrity, or fitness-for-purpose of any file you provide.

4. Payment Terms

  • Accepted payment methods include bank transfer and approved purchase orders, as agreed at the time of quotation.
  • Full payment or an agreed deposit may be required before production begins, particularly for first-time clients or large orders.
  • Outstanding balances on completed orders are due upon collection or before shipment, unless separate credit terms have been agreed in writing.
  • Late payments may result in delayed release of parts, delayed future orders, or additional administrative charges.

5. Lead Times & Delivery

Estimated lead times are provided in good faith based on current workload, material availability, and part complexity, but are not guaranteed delivery dates unless explicitly confirmed in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to material shortages, equipment downtime, courier delays, or force majeure events.

Shipping, courier, and local delivery arrangements are made per the options agreed at checkout or in your quotation. Risk in the goods passes to you upon collection or handover to the shipping carrier.

6. Quality & Tolerances

3D printing and CNC machining are subject to inherent process tolerances that vary by technology and material. Minor variations in dimension, surface finish, and color are normal and do not constitute a defect. Where a project has specific tolerance or finish requirements, these must be communicated and confirmed in writing prior to production.

If a completed part does not conform to the agreed specification due to a fault on our part, we will, at our discretion, reprint, rework, or issue a partial or full refund for the affected item. Claims relating to quality must be raised within 7 days of receipt.

7. Intellectual Property

  • You retain all ownership rights to any design files, drawings, or intellectual property you submit to us.
  • By submitting a file, you confirm that you own the rights to it, or have permission to have it printed or machined, and that doing so does not infringe on any third party’s intellectual property rights.
  • We do not use, share, reproduce, or reference your design files for any purpose beyond fulfilling your order, except where required by law.
  • Files may be retained on our systems for a limited period after project completion to support reprints or revisions, unless you request earlier deletion.

8. Confidentiality

We treat all client designs and project details as confidential. We will not disclose your files, specifications, or business information to third parties without your consent, other than to subcontractors or suppliers directly involved in fulfilling your order, and only to the extent necessary to do so.

9. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Orders may be cancelled free of charge before production has started.
  • Once production has begun, cancellation may only be possible with payment for work completed and materials already committed.
  • Custom-manufactured parts are made to your specifications and are generally non-refundable once production is complete, except where the part is defective due to a fault on our part as described in Section 6.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3D Specialist’s total liability arising from any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business, or data, arising from the use of parts we manufacture or from delays in delivery.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Singapore law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Use of Website

You agree not to misuse our website, including attempting to gain unauthorized access to our systems, submitting malicious files, or using the site in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality. All content on our website, including text, images, and branding, remains the property of 3D Specialist unless otherwise stated.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Updates will be posted on this page along with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
